No Creed But Christ, No Rule But The Bible

NO CREED BUT CHRIST.......................................................

....................................................NO RULE BUT THE BIBLE

Jesus taught, and the apostles guided by the Holy Spirit, that in
order for one to be saved, it is necessary that they:

(1) BELIEVE  (2) REPENT(3)  CONFESS CHRIST (4) BE BAPTIZED

THE NEW TESTAMENT TEACHES

NEW TESTAMENT WORSHIP

Verses from the New International Version online at
Bible Gateway, http://bible.gospelcom.net/

(1) BELIEVE

John 20:30-31
30 Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not  recorded in this book. 31But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is  the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Hebrews 11:6
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Acts 16:31
31 They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."

Romans 10:17
17  Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ.

(2) REPENT
To sorrow for sin, turn from it and amend one's way.

Luke 13:3
3  I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.

Acts 17:30-31
30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. 31For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead."

(3) CONFESS
The religious world today has men to confess different things, but let us consider the Scriptures

Matthew 10:32-33
32 "Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. 33  But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.

Acts 2:37
37 When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?"

Romans 10:8-10
8 But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: 9  That if you confess with your  mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

(4) BAPTIZED

Mark 16:16
16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Acts 8:38
38  And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him.

Acts 22:16
16  And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.'

Romans 6:3-4
3  Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

Galatians 3:26-27
26  You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27  for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

1 Peter 3:21
21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also--not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by  the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

6. CONTRIBUTION
1 Corinthians 16:1-2
1  Now about the collection for God's people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. 2  On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money  in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made.

2 Corinthians 8:12-15
12  For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.  13  Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that  there might be equality. 14  At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality, 15 as it is written: "He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little."

2 Corinthians  9:6-9
6   Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8  And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9As it is written:  "He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever."
